The Honey Jar is a 1400 square foot audio/visual workshop in DUMBO Brooklyn offering discrete, class-A, console recording, analog modular video production plus an array of vintage microphones, processing and instruments.  It was founded in 2010 by Devin Greenwood and Denison Witmer as an affordable creative space with an emphasis on process and aesthetics.

 

Devin Greenwood is a New York City-based audio/visual artist, composer and musician. He is the Artistic Director and co-founder of brokenorchestra.org as well as the owner and co-founder of the DUMBO audio/visual workshop The Honey Jar.  He has been a Collaborating Artist with Bang On A Can / Found Sound Nation and has worked with countless artists creating audio recordings, works on film, public installations and performances worldwide.  

 

In 2019, Devin was profiled on the cover of Tape Op Magazine (issue #133) for his work with Broken Orchestra and his films have most recently been presented at National Sawdust (NYC) and the Turku Animated Film Festival (Turku, Finland).www.devingreenwood.com
